Is Travel Nursing For Me

I’ve always wondered if travel nursing is for me. I love to travel, I love my nursing career, but I also love my family and uprooting them so I can be a travel nurse seems unfair. However, the more I look into travel nursing as a career the better I feel about making that jump, and that travel nursing can suit both my needs and the needs of my family.
Recently, I learned that travel nursing companies often offer a generous housing allowance if you want to choose your own living facilities. I use to think that travel nursing meant sharing an apartment with another nurse. However, I’ve found that the travel nursing companies have so many housing options, that even if I want to travel with my pets I can find a housing solution, even one with furniture included so we can just arrive and move in!

Now that I know housing isn’t an issue with travel nursing, I have little doubt that travel nursing is for me. With the ability to set my own schedule, I can handle any issues that arise with my kids, and offer them the unique opportunity to see the world. The generous pay scale and benefits of travel nursing can only help my family grow and thrive, and with insurance benefits, and a 401 (k) the only thing I am leaving behind by becoming a travel nurse is a stuffy schedule and a dead-end job. I’ve always wondered if travel nursing is for me, but now I can stop wondering. Travel nursing is for me.
